Job description

The Supervisor - Standardized Patient Program for the Simulation Center is responsible for the planning, execution and operational management of all Standardized Patients (SP) program elements.  The Supervisor - Standardized Patient Program uses knowledge, experience, skill, leadership and program management to support the overall goals of the Simulation Center.  The Supervisor - Standardized Patient Program ensures that recruiting, commissioning, on-boarding, orientation, training and management responsibilities are carried out in accordance with program timelines and that the quality of the SP program is maintained and evaluated at all times. The Supervisor - Standardized Patient Program develops and supports research projects in their field.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in education or health science related field
• 7+ years’ Experience in working with clinicians and educators in the context of a simulation center
• 5+ years specialized experience in the implementation of Standardized Patient Programs in a western equivalent academic medical center, hospital/healthcare setting
• Experience in independently developing, managing and executing SP initiatives in an academic medical center or hospital
• Experience in developing SP curriculum materials with a variety of faculty across disciplines and specialties
• Experience in working with both internal and external partners to deliver SP methodology
