ROLE PURPOSE
The role of Business partner in the Business Solutions Group of IT department is to act as an interface between business unit and IT. The person fulfilling the role is expected to continuously engage with business units to understand the IT requirements, guide the business unit in terms of technology direction and interface with the necessary IT backend teams to get the solutions delivered to business unit in time. The individual will be representing IT in business forums and be an ambassador of IT within the business units. The individual will provide strategic guidance for the business initiatives, manage the stakeholders within the businesses to ensure their satisfaction with IT services, be accountable for the delivery of the various IT services for the businesses.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Support BU-IT Interface:
- Act as a true partner to the business in facilitating and guiding them for needed IT system automation
- Serve as counterpart for IT Partner (the single point contact from business unit) as and when such role is created
- Manage the end to end process for supporting business unit requirements
- Responsible for providing business solution assurance to Business Units, which involves conducting business solution analysis, developing detailed Business requirements, developing detailed functional scenarios, providing functionality walkthrough and preparation of training material, and execute sanity checks of deliverables before UAT delivery
- Monitor support escalation, project portfolio and requirement prioritization
- Contact Business Unit for feedback on all aspects of IT Services
- Responsible for monitoring and managing resolution of IT Service issues experienced by business units
- Ensure IT Performance towards business and communicate performance at regular intervals
- Participate in steering committee meetings of major projects
- Collaborate with other Business Partners for cross BU projects
- Participate in BU-IT Collaboration meetings
Support business and IT Strategy:
- Provide strategic guidance for the business initiatives through research, market analysis, technology assessments, competitor assessment
- Support definition of IT Strategy aligned with business strategy
- Provide input to enterprise architects on business roadmap and architecture consistency
- Represent "business voice" in IT to ensure alignment between IT and business
- Co-ordinate for required resources within IT departments as needed
Project Management:
- Track the delivery of IT Requirements and follow up with delivery teams
- Managing the execution of Small / Medium size projects
- Participate in the working committees of strategic projects ensuring the business needs are being met adequately
Desired Skills and Experience

- At least 10 years of experience with at least bachelor degree (Engineering graduate preferred)
- 8+ years of IT experience in banking industry with exposure to IT-BU partnerships, with strong understanding of how technologies can enable business in their domain.
- Wide and deep working knowledge of end-to-end business analysis and business user management
- Good knowledge of IT project management concepts and project tracking
- Knowledge of core conventional banking, Islamic banking, banking operations, internet banking, wholesale banking is very much desirable
- Familiar with business processes and procedures relevant for the business domain
- CBAP certification desirable
- PMP/Prince 2 certification is a plus
- Thorough knowledge of, and extensive experience working with vendor solutions
