Job description

Job Summary:

The IT Project Manager (ITPM) has direct responsibility for the technical performance of the project, with a specific focus on meeting the agreed requirements, budget and schedule. The ITPM defines the "how" - the IT technical solution [defined with Architecture] to meet the business requirements, and the project plan, resources, schedule, and budget required to deliver the solution. The ITPM manages the execution of the project and organizes the Deployment and Transition to Service Operation.

Relationships:

- Reports to IT Operations Managers, Business Systems Managers, Business Project Mangers (BPM), Business Program Managers, IT Program managers.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

- Coordinates and tracks all technical and physical resources (internal and external) and manages and motivates the IT project team; provides support, coaching and mentoring to team members and less experienced IT Project Managers, if required

- Assures that the product/service/business requirements is sufficiently translated into agreed functional and technical specifications

- Directs and manages project execution (using the Schlumberger IT PLMP) for technical project scope

- Monitors and controls all project work related to the technical project scope to ensure that it meets project & performance objectives

- Provides project & management reporting

- Manages project risks and issues and its escalation

- Manages and reviews all change requests and making sure that Sponsor, BPM and stakeholders are updated on all ensuing changes

- Ensure that key go-live elements are reviewed to support decision making to start deployment and that service management is ready to accept the IT transitions for project closure

- Identifies and develops new business opportunities within OFS organizations and seeking continuous quality improvement

- Ensures integration with the Service management processes

- Liaises with GISS and suppliers to define adequate contracts and SLAs

Previous Experience and Competencies:

- Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent

- 10+ years experience in IT and general project management

- Core competencies in data management, software integration, software testing, bug control and software verification
