Job description

• To lead the development, implementation, maintenance, audit & improvement of L&T’s Contract Management System in Qatar and to ensure that the System is practical, sound and effective. To provide on-site advice to L&T Construction business units and project teams on contract management and policy compliance matters. To manage all forms of contract:  government, international, commercial contracts, joint venture and subcontracts in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and client requirements.
• To provide expert knowledge and guidance on all contractual matters throughout the construction life cycle from pre-qualification, through tendering, execution and through to post contract stage
• To provide expert knowledge and guidance on setting up and administering main contracts with Clients; contracts with Joint Venture partners/Consortium contracts and Subcontracts
• Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to subordinates to support their overall development.

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications and Knowledge:

• BSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction management or similar discipline, training to be or preferably MRICS, MCIOB, or above, designated chartered member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. (Post graduate qualification in construction law/ arbitration is preferable.
• Well verse in FIDIC form of contracts

Experience:

• At least 20 years’ experience working with Tier 1 EPC contractors on mega civil infrastructure projects with a contract value of at least USD 500 million
• Steady Career Path
• Middle East experience – minimum five years
